Jared Martens practice has focused on criminal defense for the past 24 years. Jared maintains a moderate case load to ensure that every case gets his attention. He does not transfer his cases to staff or young associates. His eyes are personally on every case handled by Martens Law Office.
Jared Graduated from Boise State University in the fall of 1996. After taking eight months off while working for one of Boise’s oldest and most prestigious law firms in a staff capacity he entered law school in 1998 and graduated from the University of Denver “DU” in 2001
After graduating law school, Mr. Martens joined the late Vanoy Bishop as an associate attorney. While working for Mr. Bishop, Mr. Martens caseload consisted of all criminal defense matters including assisting in the preparation of capital death row cases.
In 2003 Mr. Martens went out on his own and founded Martens Law Office, P.C. When the firm opened, Mr. Martens practiced in Criminal Defense, Family Law and Bankruptcy Law. As time progressed, Mr. Martens focused on Criminal Defense because that is what he enjoys the most and has been exclusively practicing criminal defense the past 17 years.
Jared Martens grew up in a small town in Southern Idaho. His family was involved in business, land acquisitions and development, law, farming and cattle ranching. Jared has never lost his love for farming, cattle ranching and the out doors.
Outside of the practice of law, Jared and his wife are involved with cutting horses in which they regularly compete in the National Cutting Horse Association (NCHA), big game hunting and bird hunting with their three bird dogs. Their time off is occupied by hunting the Idaho landscape, working cattle and their animals.
